Colby’s Pincher · Photographer unknown · The Dog Fancier (editor: Eugene Glass), via Wikimedia Commons. Original frame retained; WebP delivery variants by PITVU.
Wikimedia Commons identifies this portrait as Colby’s Pincher. FIAPBT public record 5650 displays the same standing portrait: head turned toward camera, three dark flank patches, pale legs and studded harness. The two reproductions support image-to-record matching; their common original and independence are not established. The existing PITVU identity is separately source-reported; the photo does not verify parentage. FIAPBT reference: https://www.fiapbtpedigree.com/imprimir_ficha.php?criterio=5650
Reuse basis: Wikimedia Commons classifies this US historical photograph as PD-US-expired (publication before 1931), citing The Dog Fancier, edited by Eugene Glass. Photographer unknown; circa 1896 is a repository attribution, not an independently established exposure date. The exact original issue/page is not supplied. PITVU relies on this documented repository classification, not on permission from FIAPBT or the uploader. No contemporary copyright or conflicting attribution was identified in the inspected references.

Commons identifies the standing dog as Charlie Lloyd’s Pilot and traces this crop to Cockney Charlie.jpg. The complete frame shows the same pale muzzle, white chest, front feet, brindled flank and leash beside Lloyd. Colby’s Book (1997), Cockney Charlie Lloyd section, captions the same seated-man-and-dog image as Lloyd with Pilot, held by the Colby family. The antique-photograph catalog at https://www.pierrespake.com/new-products/cockney-charlie-and-his-fighting-pitbull-pilot independently captions that composition as Lloyd and Pilot circa1881. These identify the photograph; they do not authenticate registry parentage or establish independence of all reproductions.
Wikimedia Commons records this unknown-author historical photograph as PD-old-70-expired and public domain in the United States through publication before1931. The crop derives from Cockney Charlie.jpg, whose history and full contextual scan were inspected and retained. The physical antique-photograph catalog dates the composition to circa1881. PITVU relies on this documented repository public-domain classification, not on mere online circulation or permission inferred from a republisher. Exact original publication details and the exposure date remain unestablished; repository metadata is retained.

Colby е историческа фамилна препратка, а не отделно куче или доказателство за произход. Stratton си спомня посещение при Louis Colby през 1999 г. и развъдни записки, запазени от дървените части на някогашната семейна сграда за кучета.
