Colby’s Texas es el macho atigrado y blanco de FIAPBT 1278, con nacimiento reportado el 10 de marzo de 1953 y criador Louis B. Colby. El campo de propietarios históricos nombra a Louis B. Colby y Pete Sparks. Sus padres reportados son Dime y Margie. Texas figura como padre de Dutch y de Rusty, cuya madre es Dutch; las posiciones repetidas se explicitan sin convertir este pedigrí de fuentes en un cálculo COI aceptado. La retrospectiva de 2020 nombra a Bishop’s Crazy y Bishop’s Jeremiah entre los descendientes de Texas, y a Hetrick’s Colby Chopper como hijo de Texas y Hetrick’s Bootsie Girl. El libro familiar de 1997 añade otro episodio de Texas: antes de que Pete Sparks lo comprara, acompañaba al encargado del control de animales en Exeter, New Hampshire. La entrada lo identifica como Colby’s o Sparks’ Texas, UKC 357-998. Es una asociación histórica atribuida, no un lugar de nacimiento ni una actividad actual. Dogsfiles 157601 informa expresamente nacimiento en Estados Unidos para el macho de Dime–Marge y cita a Dutch y Loposay’s Rusty entre sus descendientes. Coincide con el contexto familiar conservado de Texas; no se usa otro Texas sin padres que acredita a JOHN P COLBY para sustituir al criador atribuido Louis B. Colby.
