Ritcheson's Spike figure dans la fiche individuelle FIAPBT 175. Le propriétaire historique est nommé Ritcheson. Brown’s Brindle Spike et Brown’s Blond Scratch sont les parents rapportés. Leurs fiches relient Brindle Spike à Lawrence’s Smokey et Hannah, puis Blond Scratch à Black Spider et Brown’s Crazy. Cela donne un contexte précis à Ritcheson’s Spike sans fusionner les différents chiens historiques nommés Spike. Le souvenir publié par Richard Stratton en2019 identifie explicitement le vieux Spike vu autour de Noël1950 comme père de Bambi. Le contexte situe la réunion chez Heinzl à Tucson.
