Colby’s Barney is the fawn male with a white blaze in FIAPBT 1805, bred by Louis B. Colby and historically owned by Alexander (Mike) Colby. The source’s 1962-00-00 entry supports the year 1962 only, not an exact birthday. Morgan and Maggie (1958) are his reported parents; record 226 names Barney and Jenny as Chita’s parents. UKC 365944 and ADBA 1600-64 remain catalogue references rather than independently checked certificates. A 1960s advertisement reproduced in the family book lists Alexander Colby’s Barney as a two-year-old fawn male with a white blaze. Dogsfiles 157611 explicitly places Barney’s birth in the USA and identifies Morgan and Maggie 1958 as his parents. This adds a birthplace report to the existing 1962 year-only chronology; the catalogue’s zero-filled date supplies no more precise birth date.
