Colby’s Dime is the brindle-and-white male in FIAPBT record 451, bred and historically owned by Louis B. Colby, with Tweedie and Penny as reported parents. The catalogue gives 26 August 1949 as his birth date. A 2020 retrospective reports 32 lb specifically as pit weight, not chain weight. The catalogue reports death on 20 January 1961; the 1997 book’s public OCR caption reads 21 January. These remain competing reports, with the original book page image unverified. The 2020 retrospective also describes a 36 lb adult weight, distinct from its 32 lb pit-weight quotation. It contrasts a book total of 78 puppies from 15 breedings with an earlier recollection of over 200 offspring; these are competing reports. The 1997 family history also follows his sire, Tweedie, to Dr. Manuel Damm in Mexico City later in life. That reported relocation concerns Tweedie, not Dime.
