Historical context

Garner’s Frisco is the male listed by FIAPBT as bred and owned by T. Garner, with Garner’s Chinaman as sire and Romero’s China Girl (Vince’s) as dam. FIAPBT and Pedigree Online report 27 October 1985 as his birth date and 18 September 2000 as his death date. Published coat descriptions differ: FIAPBT calls him red, GameDogs records yellow, and Pedigree Online uses buckskin. This dossier concerns Frisco himself; the earlier citation titled Frisco Jr. remains separately flagged for reconciliation. A later review of an accessible mirror identifies record 123610 as Frisco Jr., born 29 June 1998 from Frisco and China Girl II. This younger descendant must not be substituted for Frisco. A forum transcription posted on 3 February 2007 attributes a letter to the pseudonym CHAINSAW and dates its claimed journal appearance to May–June 1997. It describes Frisco’s earlier movement through California’s Bay Area, places him in Oregon in May 1988 and recounts a later transfer to North Carolina after about eighteen months in the writer’s care. This is a reported custody narrative, not an examined ownership record; neither the letter’s original issue nor its author’s identity has been verified. May 1988 is a historical-location date, not his birth.

The authorized Carver report captions this exact standing tan-dog figure as Indian (Carver) Bolio and explicitly credits Pat Patrick as photograph supplier. The caption links to FIAPBT’s Bolio identity, matching PITVU’s existing Indian Bolio record and its attributed Patrick interview. The source displays a dog standing side-on facing the camera on pale ground. Historical exposure date, original photographer and primary photographic caption have not been independently authenticated. Shown as attributed, not established; this does not establish parentage.

The signed Mariano Peinado article explicitly authorizes copying and distribution of the article (“tienen nuestra autorización para copiarlo y difundirlo”). This exact embedded figure is captioned Indian (Carver) Bolio and credited as photograph courtesy of Pat Patrick. PITVU retains that credit and relies on the publisher-author’s article-copy authorization for this embedded figure; the courtesy credit itself is not treated as a standalone licence. No figure-specific exclusion was found. The underlying photographer and complete historical rights chain are unestablished and are not independently certified. Permission is not inferred for Patrick’s other photographs, third-party galleries or the FIAPBT pedigree database.

    Unknown

The original PITVU citation title names Frisco Jr.; its page was unavailable during this review. The existing claim is retained pending; this new citation does not silently correct the historical snapshot.

  5. Later catalogue identity review

    Source-reported

The public mirror of record 123610 names Garner’s Frisco Jr., born on 29 June 1998, with Frisco (linked record 29) as sire and China Girl II (linked record 9578) as dam. It concerns a separate younger dog, not this Frisco’s own identity or parentage. The original host remains unreachable; this mirror is not independent registration confirmation.
