Historical context

Hobb’s Slick is the female in FIAPBT record 399: Pat Patrick is named as breeder and Hobb as historical owner, with that surname retained literally. Bolio and Patrick’s Tuffy are the reported parents. In record 400, Slick and Commander Whitehead are named as Tuffy’s parents. Patrick’s Tuffy and Hobb’s Tuffy are therefore separate positions and records, not a single identity merged by their shared name. A first-person reminiscence republished by GrandChamp in 2012 describes Slick as one-eyed and recounts a trip to Patrick beginning in 1979. The narrator says Chen Leng was initially named as her sire, then Bolio. This retrospective correction is an attributed account, not a paternity determination; 1979 is not supplied as her birth year.

The authorized Carver report captions this exact standing tan-dog figure as Indian (Carver) Bolio and explicitly credits Pat Patrick as photograph supplier. The caption links to FIAPBT’s Bolio identity, matching PITVU’s existing Indian Bolio record and its attributed Patrick interview. The source displays a dog standing side-on facing the camera on pale ground. Historical exposure date, original photographer and primary photographic caption have not been independently authenticated. Shown as attributed, not established; this does not establish parentage.

The signed Mariano Peinado article explicitly authorizes copying and distribution of the article (“tienen nuestra autorización para copiarlo y difundirlo”). This exact embedded figure is captioned Indian (Carver) Bolio and credited as photograph courtesy of Pat Patrick. PITVU retains that credit and relies on the publisher-author’s article-copy authorization for this embedded figure; the courtesy credit itself is not treated as a standalone licence. No figure-specific exclusion was found. The underlying photographer and complete historical rights chain are unestablished and are not independently certified. Permission is not inferred for Patrick’s other photographs, third-party galleries or the FIAPBT pedigree database.

The selected JPEG is embedded in Mariano Peinado’s historical Dibo report immediately before the caption Tudor’s DIBO, after the separate Corvino’s Shorty figure. The page discusses the1951dog associated with Heinzl, Smith, Hubbard’s Bounce and Heinzl’s Bambi, matching the existing PITVU identity. Its original photographer, exposure date and primary photographic caption have not been established. Attribution is plausible from the explicit historical caption, not conclusively authenticated; shown as an attributed photograph, not counted as established. Other nearby pictures explicitly depict CrazyJoe, ArizonaPete, Gimp and BlackWidow and are not substituted.

The publisher-author authorizes copying and distribution of La Leyenda, which embeds the same standing Dibo photograph. PITVU relies on that article-specific declaration. The retained historiadibo page supplies the current JPEG, but its snapshot does not contain the quoted permission. The photograph, original hash, credits and uncertainty are retained. The underlying photographer, earliest publication and complete historical rights chain are not independently established; no blanket permission, public-domain or Creative Commons licence is claimed.
